[su_quote style=”default” cite=”” url=”” class=””]This is a company that is a technology giant and they’re a massive logistics company. We’re just excited to have them as a partner and we’ll see if we can make them a customer at some point. Chris Urmson, CEO, Aurora[/su_quote]

According to Chris, the company will spend funding on hiring quality people. This is a big problem for them and they need lots of people and that’ll be a big part of it. Chris believes that they are building a driver. The passenger should be able to sit back and relax in side the car. Chris believes that there’s an amazing opportunity “to go and take the next step in democratizing transportation”. He believes that Aurora is going to be there with its partners and he thinks there’s lots of room for other players.

Self Driving cars are going to be big once the security aspects are adequately covered. The recent funding from Amazon can be seen as an indicator of what Amazon is planning with regards to its last mile logistics.
