Rokid is a Hangzhaou based Artificial Intelligence Startup which has launhed its T1 range of Glasses. These Thermal glasses use infrared to measure Temperature of upto 200 people in just two minutes at a distance of three metres.
The Startup has an office in the United States too and has been one of the many Startups who have put in everything they have got in the fight against Coronavirus.
‘The devices is armed with aa Qualcomm processor , 12 megapixel camera and offers augmented reality functions, for hands-free voice controls, to record live photos and videos.’
The company offers Internet of Things and Facial recognition services too and has been in consultation with several hospitals in the United States as the product has tremendous potential in the fight against this pandemic. Health workers, often referred to as ‘Corona warriors’, are at the forefront of this fight against Coronavirus and they are exposed to the maximum possible risk of being infected by the virus.
Any contact less assistance they can provide to the patients will make sure that the health care force is not reduced in numbers.
The T1 glasses are connected via USB and can be configured for IOT functionalities too.
The Startup has raised over $100 Million in funding in 2018 . However, with the ongoing Trade war with China and the scepticism around Chinese products, it would be difficult to say whether the US authorities will be ready to change their stance.
