Sandhaan, which is the annual Techno Management fest of BIT  Sindri was inaugurated on 2nd April 2016 in the presence of industry heavyweights and distinguished academics . As a part of the event, the second edition of much awaited  T2B or Technology to Business , an event for budding entrepreneurs was also organized by the Model Club of BIT Sindri.

On the first day of the event, distinguished speakers from different sectors shared their valuable thoughts. The speakers included  Madhup Agrawal, CEO of India Mart , Ravi Ranjan, head of NASSCOM , SK Verma, DRDO Scientist  and BIT Sindri Director among others.

Professor RP gupta, who is incharge of the Model Club urged the students to participate in large numbers in the ongoing events. Realizing the significant role that budding entrepreneurs can play in the society and echoing the mood of modern day college graduates, the Director of the institute asked the students to be job providers rather than job seekers. His thoughts were in concord with the overall mood in the country fueled by the Startup India campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi few days back. He also talked about the value of time and success and invited all the audiences to be a learner.

India Mart CEO, Madhup agrawal stressed on the importance of innovation in idea. The event T2B  or Technology to Business was being organised at the time of news writing. T2B, which is essentially an Entrepreneurship event saw some of the heavy weights like India Mart CEO, OLA chief Sankalp Sachdeva and NASSCOM head Ravi Ranjan  going through the Panel discussion on business and Management.

In T2B, NASSCOM will  incubate upto 5 Start Ups. A total of 40 teams from BIT Sindri, ISM Dhanbad, NIT Jamshedpur, and other colleges from West Bengal and Odisha participated in the event .

Among other events, prelims of robotics saw big participation from the students. Today,  Modex and guest lecture by Mr. Muchkund Dubey, who is a Former Ambassador and Former Indian Foreign Secretary will be the highlights of the event.

The Startup Ecosystem in India is fairly new but a vibrant one. College graduates nowadays prefer venturing on their own after college rather than working for top MNCs. The idea has got further impetus from the government through various initiatives like the Startup India scheme and rationalization of processes involved in creating your own company thereby making your Startup journey less tiresome.

Providing incubation facilities right at the college should be the next step as colleges are the breeding grounds of ideas.
