In a first, NASA and SpaceX to launch astronaut from a private spacecraft from the U.S. soil on May 27

May 27 and a target liftoff time of 4:32 PM EDT (1:32 PM PDT) is the expected date and time for the launch of two astronauts from the Kennedy Space Center planed by Nasa and SpaceX.

The two astronauts who are going to be onboard to their journey to the International Space Station are Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley.

The space agencies had earlier announced the month of launch but we got to know about the exact date and time today.

This flight will be called Demo-2 is technically part of the test program. The duration of the stay of the astronauts is yet to be determined.

For the Crew Dragon, which is yet to receive operational certification, and the Falcon launch system this is going to be a validation testing ride which will allow authorities to provide clearance to them to be a part of future ISS missions.

The Crew Dragon flying this mission will stay on orbit for around 110 days. However, it has the capacity to stay on orbit for 210 days. According to the agencies, this scheduled flight will remain immune from the ongoing Corona Pandemic.
